Bangkok, Thailand | 1 July 2026 – Travel & Tech Asia 2026 opened its doors today at the Plenary Halls, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), bringing together travel technology providers, hospitality leaders, and tourism authorities from across the region for two days of dealmaking, networking, and knowledge sharing from 1–2 July.

At Travel & Tech Asia 2026, leading brands including Trip.com Group, Duetto, SiteMinder, ReservePay, 2C2P, and Salesforce, among others, are showcasing the latest technologies shaping the future of travel and hospitality—from hotel management solutions and revenue optimisation tools to payment gateways, CRM platforms, and online booking and distribution technologies.

The official opening ceremony featured opening remarks by Mr. Kittipong Prapattong, Deputy Governor for Digitalization, Research and Development at the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), supporting remarks by Ms. Ben Montgomery, Vice Chair of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), and a keynote address by Mr. Duangdej Yuaikwarmdee, Chief Executive Officer of VNU Asia Pacific.

Mr. Kittipong Prapattong, Deputy Governor for Digitalization, Research and Development at the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), said:

“Today, the tourism industry is no longer driven by destinations alone—it is equally shaped by technology that enhances the traveller experience and strengthens business competitiveness. Travel & Tech Asia is more than a trade show; it is a platform that brings together leaders in tourism, technology, and innovation to collaboratively shape the future of the industry and position Thailand as Southeast Asia’s hub for tourism technology innovation.”

Ms. Ben Montgomery, Vice Chair of PATA, said:

“As a proud supporter of this event, PATA is delighted to celebrate the second edition of Travel & Tech Asia and to congratulate the organisers on creating a platform that brings together leaders from across tourism, technology, and innovation. The energy and engagement we have seen throughout today’s programme are a testament to just how relevant—and how necessary—these conversations have become.”

Mr. Duangdej Yuaikwarmdee, Chief Executive Officer of VNU Asia Pacific, said:

“While technology continues to play an increasingly important role in the tourism industry, the essence of Thai tourism remains rooted in the richness of its culture, the diversity of its attractions, and the warm hospitality of the Thai people. Technology should therefore be viewed as a tool to empower tourism professionals and enhance service quality—not to replace these enduring values.

For this reason, Travel & Tech Asia 2026 is extremely important, as it provides a platform for key stakeholders from all sectors of the industry to explore new approaches, build collaborations, and share a common vision for driving the tourism industry into the future.”

Throughout the show, attendees can look forward to a comprehensive conference programme spotlighting the trends shaping travel and hospitality across the region, including the Industry Leader Panel, featuring representatives from the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC), and Trip.com Group, moderated by the Big Data Institute (Public Organization).

Travel & Tech Asia 2026 is supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), the Association of Thai Travel Agents (ATTA), the Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA), the Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA), the National Innovation Agency (NIA), the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa), the Big Data Institute (BDI), the SPU College of Aviation, Tourism and Hospitality (SPU CATH), the Metaverse Association of Thailand, the European Association for Business and Commerce (EABC), the Netherlands-Thai Chamber of Commerce (NTCC), and the Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce (TICC).

This edition also marks a new chapter for the show with the introduction of an Honorary Advisory Board, comprising senior leaders from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Association of Thai Travel Agents (ATTA), Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC), and Trip.com Group. The Advisory Board will help shape the strategic direction and future growth of Travel & Tech Asia, supporting its ambition to become Asia’s leading platform for travel technology and innovation.

Looking ahead, Travel & Tech Asia 2027 will take place on 20–21 January 2027 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, co-located with Cybersec Asia and AI Asia, bringing together the travel, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence communities under one roof to reflect the increasingly converged nature of technology across industries.

The event will also mark another milestone in the show’s regional expansion, with Travel & Tech Asia making its international debut at PATA Travel Mart 2027, taking place from 20–22 September 2027 at The Venetian Macao, Macao, China.

Travel & Tech Asia 2026 runs through Thursday, 2 July, and is free to attend for trade professionals. The organisers aim for the event to serve as a catalyst for shaping the future of travel in Asia by connecting forward-thinking ideas with real-world applications.
